“I have a plan. I just can’t seem to muster the self discipline to follow through.”
I don’t even know where or how to start. I just wish someone could tell me what to do.
“I’d be good for a few days and then I’d lose steam and have to start over again.”
“I know what I need to do, but I struggle with so much resistance to actually doing it.”
“I can stick to a plan, but I find it challenging to know how to adapt when the plan doesn’t apply.”
You are not alone if you have ever thought or said these words.
You don’t need another 30-day diet plan or a new workout challenge. While they can provide temporary solutions and motivation, they rarely lead to the development of helpful skills and lasting results.
What you truly need is to cultivate self-compassion, develop skills to navigate your inner struggles, and embrace a growth mindset. These elements form the foundation for creating impactful and transformative habits and behaviours, allowing you to lead a healthy lifestyle that nourishes both your body and soul.

My Coaching Pillars
At Flourish Onward, we understand that lasting transformation requires a strong foundation. That’s why we’ve established four core coaching pillars that underpin our approach to health and wellness. These pillars are the cornerstone of our coaching philosophy, guiding you towards sustainable change and empowering you to make significant improvements in your life. By focusing on these key areas, we help you develop the skills and mindset needed to overcome challenges, foster resilience, and achieve your health and wellness goals for long-lasting results.
The SOAR Process
Are you ready to embark on a transformative journey towards better health and wellness? At Flourish Onward, we’ve developed a unique process called SOAR to guide you through behaviour change. SOAR is more than just an acronym; it’s a comprehensive approach that addresses the underlying factors contributing to your struggles.
Each letter in SOAR represents a crucial step in the behaviour change process. It’s about building awareness of your unhelpful thoughts and emotions, practicing acceptance, aligning your behaviours with your values, and taking actions that allow you to thrive and grow. It’s not just about “having more self-control”; it’s about embracing a new way of thinking and getting better at feeling your feelings, and taking actions in the face of challenges and discomfort.
By working through the SOAR process, you’ll develop the skills and processes needed to create lasting change in your life.

FAQ
Will you provide meal plans?
While strict meal plans can show quick results, they often aren’t sustainable. Lasting results aren’t about eliminating foods; it’s about learning to choose what to eat based on your unique needs and preferences.
Food is more than just fuel; it’s about connection, celebration, and culture. Restricting foods, especially ones you love, can lead to rebound effects. Meal plans also don’t teach you how to make balanced meals, eat mindfully, or listen to your body’s cues.
My nutrition approach focuses on developing eating skills and a healthy relationship with food. We’ll work on making balanced meals, eating mindfully, and enjoying food while aligning with your goals and values. You’ll feel empowered and confident in your food choices, ready for any social situation.
Are you a fat loss coach?
I believe in body autonomy and that having fat loss goals isn’t inherently problematic. A diet, in its truest sense, refers to the food and drink regularly consumed, and a well-designed diet can improve health and support fat loss when built on enjoyable and sustainable behaviours.
As your coach, I won’t dictate what you should or shouldn’t do. My role is to help you explore the benefits and risks of your choices, understand the deeper reasons behind your goals, and support you in making decisions about your body.
Building a solid foundation is crucial for achieving and maintaining fat loss results. This includes improving your relationship with food and your body, fostering a positive body image, and practicing eating skills and emotional regulation.
If fat loss is your goal, I’ll help you find an enjoyable, realistic, and healthy way of eating that works for you. Together, we’ll build the skills and habits needed not only to reach your goal but also to sustain it.
What are eating skills?
Eating skills are the abilities we use before, during, and after eating. Like any skill, they improve with practice and learning from our experiences.
These skills include checking in with hunger before eating, managing and honoring cravings, creating balanced meals, tuning into fullness and satisfaction during a meal, and stopping when full, among others.
The beauty of these skills is that they can be applied anywhere, whether you’re at a birthday party, wedding, dining out, summer BBQ, or traveling.
What sets you apart from other coaches?
As a coach who adores all kinds of food, I understand the struggle of feeling like you “love food too much” to eat healthily. I genuinely want to assist you in discovering an eating style that is enjoyable, realistic, practical, and sustainable based on your unique goals, preferences, lifestyle, and cultural background.
Having faced my own challenges with nutrition, food relationships, and mindset, I can relate to your struggles to some extent. Even if I can’t fully understand, I aim to provide a safe and empathetic space for you. Together, we can work through your difficulties to help you flourish and thrive.
With extensive training in behaviour change, mindset, coaching, and psychology, including a master’s degree in behaviour science and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst credentials, I am equipped to support you in making lasting changes. I have pursued numerous additional certifications and trainings in body image, mindset, behaviour change, nutrition, and coaching. When I say I have the tools to help you create new habits and behaviours that stick, leading to a transformative life change, I mean it.
What is “psychological flexibility?”
Psychological flexibility is like having a set of mental skills that help you deal with life’s twists and turns. It’s about being able to roll with the punches, adapt to new situations, and bounce back from setbacks. It’s not about avoiding difficult thoughts or feelings, but rather, being able to acknowledge them and make space for them. Instead of getting stuck in unhelpful thoughts or rigid routines, you can learn to be more open-minded, resilient, and better able to cope with challenges. It’s about being able to step back, see things from different perspectives, and choose your actions based on what’s important to you, even in difficult or uncertain circumstances.
